Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement. Wheel and rim shops repair bent or curb-scraped wheels, refinish them and sell aftermarket sets. Seasonal demand peaks before winter in the northern states and before summer road trips everywhere.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Third visit, third attempt to sell me a tire I didn't need. I came in with a flat caused by a bolt. The tire is a Michelin I bought less than nine months ago. After pulling it, they told me it was no longer repairable because I'd driven on it flat, I drove under three miles after the low-pressure light came on, straight here. I'd been through this before. The last time I had a flat, the dealership told me a puncture from a bolt or nail almost never requires a replacement. So this time I told them straight up that I wasn't buying a tire and I wanted it patched. They patched it, no problem. On top of that, $32 dlls, when other places charge $20 at most. Which is the whole issue: it was repairable the entire time. This is now the third time this shop has told me a tire had to be replaced, and the first two times I believed them. If you come here with a flat, expect to be told you need a new tire, and don't be afraid to say no.

Friendly and helpful when I pulled in to have my tire pressure checked. The mechanic conducted a thorough inspection of all four tires to check for possible leaks and then filled all tires to recommended specs. Sent me on my way with no charge. That is quality service you do t find everywhere. No pushy sales tactics, just genuine customer care. I tipped of course but nothing was asked for or expected.

Was visiting Austin from Houston for a concert and the next morning after getting there, woke up to a completely flat tire. Got two new rear tires just to be safe. Service was great and was in and out in 15 to 20 mins. Drove back to Houston after a couple of days and had no issues.

I realized I had a flat when trying to leave Austin Sunday morning, and Leal's saved the day! They were quick to confirm they had a tire available and had me in and out in less than 30 mins. Price was 1/3 of what I would have had to pay at any major tire store chain. Much rather support local while also receiving top notch customer service!
